Right now, we’re seeking a full time QUALITY INSPECTOR (M-F 7:00 am-3:30 pm) to join our team who has always had a knack for noticing details faster and more accurately than others. If this sounds like you, we want to talk!
SanMac Quality Inspectors play an important role on our team….They work closely with Operations, and are counted on to perform critical quality assurance processes like Incoming, In-Process and Final inspection. They use the latest and most accurate micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and vision systems to ultimately ensure every brush produced at SanMac meets the standard by which we base our reputation.
Position qualifications include a high school diploma (or GED), an ability to be up and about during the day and have dependable transportation. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Quality Engineer will be involved in the oversight of our Quality Management System, interacting with employees and customers at various levels to ensure quality parts leave the facility through various reviews, audits and sampling processes.
Past experience should include a BS/BA Degree in Quality, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance or similar. Strong leadership, the love of a challenge and solid problem-solving skills, along with a strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques, statistics, sampling and metrology is required. ISO 9001 certification knowledge or equivalent is required. Six Sigma Yellow, Green or Black Belt, and/or ASQ Certification, a plus.
Work closely with operators, inspectors, fellow mechanics and managers to set-up and changeover equipment (ranging from manual up to fully automatic) and perform troubleshooting to fix machines and get running for maximum efficiencies.
Runs multiple automatic machines that produce twisted in wire brushes to company standards and specifications.
Performs in-process inspection on product, both visually and with gauges to ensure a quality product.
Position requires a GED or high school diploma, regular and reliable attendance, the ability to stand/walk for an entire shift, ability to complete necessary production paperwork, use of a calculator, use of safety glasses, and hearing protection.
Looking for a Material Handler to support our production staff. This individual will be processing and distributing raw materials needed for production, as well as verifying and processing material that is being returned to inventory. The Material Handler will also inspect and pack brushes for shipment and will perform cycle counting.
- 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.., Monday through Friday (OT available during the week and weekend – must be available as needed)
