State Senator Anne M. Gobi (D-Spencer) To Tour Palmer Brush Manufacturer Sanderson MacLeod

Offshore competition and Massachusetts manufacturing best practices to be key areas of discussion

PALMER, MA – Sanderson MacLeod, Inc. announced on Monday, June 15, that the Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) selected the company to host State Senator Anne M. Gobi (D-Spencer) for a tour of their Palmer, MA manufacturing facility.  AIM’s purpose in selecting a successful business in Western Massachusetts to visit was to encourage an open dialogue with Senator Gobi regarding both the opportunities and challenges faced by companies in the Bay State. According to AIM, Sanderson MacLeod was chosen based upon their ongoing commitment to manufacturing in Massachusetts, innovative business approaches, commitment to LEAN manufacturing and record of sustained revenue growth.

AIM is a community of Massachusetts employers working together to improve the business climate and create economic opportunity by reducing the cost of health care, taxes, unemployment insurance and other business expenses. In addition, AIM seeks to shape state and federal business regulation while ensuring a skilled and highly educated work force.

Senator Gobi’s visit will include an employee led interactive facility tour, a company briefing regarding Sanderson MacLeod’s plans for the future and an informative idea exchange regarding best practices for successfully manufacturing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Sanderson MacLeod Dedicates Twisted Wire Brush Machine – “Rosie”

PALMER, MA May 2015.   On Tuesday, May 26th, 2015, Sanderson MacLeod held a Dedication Ceremony honoring Roselyn Noble.  We have nicknamed the new automatic stylet machine “Rosie” and installed a plaque on the machine with Rosie’s name, picture and dates of service to Sanderson MacLeod, Inc.  While this dedication has Rosie’s name on it, it is really a symbol of the dedication that all of the hard working employees of Sanderson MacLeod, Inc. have put in over the last 50+ years the company has been in business.  We would not be where we are today without their hard work.

Roselyn Noble, a Monson resident, retired from Sanderson MacLeod, Inc. after working nearly 50 years for the company. More commonly known as Rosie, Ms. Noble worked in a variety of capacities during her career at Sanderson MacLeod in the production of twisted-in-wire brushes. Some of which included the first twisted wire mascara brushes ever produced.
