Sanderson MacLeod Revolutionizes Burrite Brush Manufacturing

Proprietary equipment maximizes efficiency

Palmer, Massachusetts – June 26, 2008 – Sanderson MacLeod recently announced the integration of their new high speed Burrite brush production cell. The ability to produce tightly wound Burrite brushes quickly and at various lengths and diameters is expected to revolutionize the way these brushes are made, explained Sanderson MacLeod Vice President Mark N. Borsari.

“Historically, Burrite type brushes were difficult to produce without some degree of loose fiber,” Borsari said. “Our engineers did a terrific job innovating new, fully automated manufacturing equipment to alleviate this problem.”

Sanderson MacLeod expects to be filling orders shortly for the widely popular brush. Demand has been high for brushes with overall lengths as long as 2 ¼”. Brush part lengths are possible from ¼” to nearly 1 ½”.

“Finding ways to do things better for our clients is what we focus on,” Borsari said.
