At Sanderson MacLeod, we don’t just make brushes. We build capability
The TWIST Program—Technical Work Instruction & Skills Training—is our hands-on approach to developing the next generation of manufacturing talent. It brings students, co-ops, interns, and early-career professionals onto the floor to learn how real products are made, improved, and delivered.

LEARN BY DOING
TWIST is built on one idea: the best way to learn manufacturing is to do it.

Participants work alongside experienced operators, mechanics, engineers, and quality professionals—gaining exposure to the full operation, not just a single function. From machine setup to inspection, from troubleshooting to continuous improvement, TWIST provides a clear view of how a modern manufacturing system runs.
REAL WORK. REAL IMPACT.
This isn’t observation. TWIST participants contribute.

Projects are tied directly to business needs and often include:
- Process improvements and Lean initiatives
- Automation and equipment upgrades
- Tooling and fabrication support
- Quality inspection and data collection
- Safety and ergonomics improvements
- Logistics, inventory, and production flow
The work matters—and participants see the impact of what they build.
BUILT ON EXPERIENCE
Our team includes professionals who started on the floor and know the process inside and out. TWIST connects that experience with new talent, accelerating learning while strengthening our culture of knowledge sharing.
It’s not just training—it’s transfer of real manufacturing expertise.
INVESTING IN THE FUTURE OF MANUFACTURING
We partner with local schools and technical programs to create pathways into advanced manufacturing. TWIST shows what’s possible: a career built on skill, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
For us, this is long-term thinking—developing people, strengthening our operation, and supporting the future of American manufacturing.
